About CovidSurg

There is an urgent need to understand the outcomes of COVID-19 infected patients who undergo surgery.

Capturing real-world data and sharing international experience will inform the management of this complex group of patients who undergo surgery throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, improving their clinical care.

CovidSurg has been designed by an international collaborating group of surgeons and anaesthetists which has now reached 69 countries.

We would be delighted to have you and your team involved and collaborating.

Join CovidSurg

CovidSurg will be a platform of studies aiming to explore the impact of COVID-19 in surgical patients and services. Please find bellow a brief summary of each one of the studies. You and your team are able to choose to get involves in as many as you wish.

  • CovidSurg: an international cohort study, aiming to assess the outcomes of surgery in patients diagnosed in COVID-19

  • CovidSurg-Cancer: an international cohort study assessing the safety of surgery for all types of cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the pandemic in cancer delay and treatment pathways.

Mortality and pulmonary complications in patients undergoing surgery with perioperative SARS-CoV-2 infection

The CovidSurg Collaborative organised two webinars where results from this paper were discussed.
