CovidSurg researchers have published a paper examining ‘Mortality and pulmonary complications in patients undergoing surgery with perioperative SARS-CoV-2 infection’.

The article published in The Lancet details the findings from the international multicentre CovidSurg cohort study in 235 hospitals in 24 countries. Data for 1,128 patients revealed that those undergoing surgery after contracting coronavirus are at greatly increased risk of postoperative death.
