Run in partnership with the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery, the CovidSurg study is aiming to rapidly understand the outcomes of COVID-19 infected patients who undergo surgery.
A related project by the same team, CovidSurg Cancer will assess the safety of surgery for all types of cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the pandemic in cancer delay and treatment pathways

Evaluating Innovation and Technology in Global Surgery
The NIHR Global Health Research Group in Surgical Technologies are working to develop and evaluate novel technologies to improve surgical training and care in LMICs.
The group are looking for surgeons and surgical researchers with an interest in global surgery, surgical innovation or technology to take part in a short this survey based research project aiming to develop a framework for the evaluation of innovation in global surgery.
The survey explores barriers and facilitators to evaluating innovation and technology in global surgery. In particular, how should we evaluate the adoption of an established technology in a novel context or setting?
