Prioritising research

GlobalSurg 2018 Global Surgery Research Prioritisation Exercise

This is a gentle reminder of our invitation for our low/middle income country (LMIC) collaborators to participate in our 2018 research prioritisation exercise. Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has already contributed!

In order to make sure that our future studies continue to benefit patients across the world, we are asking our LMIC collaborators to please help prioritise the most important topics to address in future global surgery research studies and practice guidelines.

Almost 100 LMIC surgeons participated in the first round of our exercise, proposing a large number of topics. We have long listed 12 research, and 12 guideline topics. We now need your help to identify the best of these to take forward for detailed discussion and study development.

If you are based in an LMIC, we would be very grateful for your generous help by completed our anonymous survey which will only take a few minutes. Here is the link: https://bistc.redcap.bham.ac.uk/surveys/?s=WNAH8EF3LX

Please do share this link with LMIC colleagues or contacts who you think might be interested in participating. Thank you very much to everyone who has supported this initiative for their time and input.
