Urgent: Data Entry Deadline for GlobalSurg 2

Dear GlobalSurg 2 collaborators

Please note the deadline for entering patient records into REDCap is

23:59 (GMT) September 11th 2016

***Please remember to retrospectively add patient gender to your records if you have not already done so***

Please note the validation study will remain open for one month after this date to allow validators time to validate the data.

Once all the fields on the data entry forms are completed and correct please lock the forms by ticking the ‘lock’ field at the bottom of the forms.

Please note that co-authorship on future GlobalSurg 2 publications depends on the data from your centre being uploaded into REDCap. If you have records on paper forms please remember to transfer the data to REDCap

Please ensure that all forms are completed correctly and locked by the data entry deadline.

Still looking for a way to join GlobalSurg 2?

Patient recruitment for GlobalSurg 2 is nearing completion, but it is not too late to be part of our next publication by joining GlobalSurg 2 as a data validator

Validation is an important part of the study ensuring that data collected is of high quality. We are now recruiting a data validator at each centre that has submitted data into GlobalSurg 2.

To act as a validator you should:

be a qualified doctor or nurse
be independent of the team collecting data at your centre
have access to theatre logbooks
have read the GlobalSurg protocol and completed associated training modules

All validators will receive citation as collaborators on GlobalSurg 2 publications.
