– PaedSurg Africa is a collaboration of surgeons and allied health professionals throughout sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) collectively producing the largest prospective cohort study of paediatric surgery in this region of the world.
– The study results will be used to help advocate for enhanced children’s surgical services in SSA where they are desperately needed.
– We aim to identify cost-effective, context appropriate interventions to improve survival and reduce disability for children in SSA.
– The collaboration will help to enhance research capacity in SSA and create the infrastructure for ongoing collaborative work.
