The NIHR GSU hub in India is based at Christian Medical College & Hospital, a 125 year old institute in Ludhiana Punjab.

Ludhiana is an industrial centre of northern India and  is also the industrial capital of the state.  The India hub is responsible for conducting research projects with its focus areas being surgical site infection & cancer. The hub at Christian Medical College & Hospital coordinates various projects & trials, including GlobalSurg Collaborative projects in India. We are currently coordinating research at five hospitals across India. New spoke hospitals are expected to join from North East & Central areas of the country, together with large government & district hospitals across India.
