GlobalSurg 2 data collection must be completed before 31 July 2016

Have you collected your data for GlobalSurg 2 yet?

GlobalSurg 2 now has less than one month remaining for data collection

If you have received approval for the project at your centre but not yet collected your data there is still time to do so.

In order to be named on our next publication your two week data collection period must be completed by July 31 2016 with the last of your 30-day follow-up data collected by August 30th 2016

All participants in GlobalSurg 1 received a Pubmed-citable listing as collaborators on our recent paper.

The GlobalSurg 2 analysis will be published using the same collaborative model.

Make sure you are part of our next publication by completing your data collection period before 31 July 2016.

GlobalSurg 2 Validation Protocol Launched

Recruiting validators for GlobalSurg 2

Validation is an important part of the study ensuring that data collected is of high quality. We are now looking for a team of validators for GlobalSurg 2.

To act as a validators you should:

be a qualified doctor or nurse
be independent of the team collecting data at your centre
have access to theatre logbooks
have read the GlobalSurg protocol and completed associated training modules

All validators will receive citation as collaborators on GlobalSurg 2 publications.
If you are interested in becoming a validator for GlobalSurg 2, please contact your local GlobalSurg lead via the contact form with your name, grade and centre. Alternatively, email the GlobalSurg team directly ([email protected])
Instructions for validators will be sent out in the next few weeks.Message for all local leads: please advertise the position at your centres and inform us of interest ([email protected])
We are aiming to have one validator in each centre before the end of June. We look forward to working on this part of the project with you!
